Our view of the service

We carried out an assessment of Northern Angels Care Ltd between 1 August and 2 September 2026. This was the first assessment since the service was registered. This was a remote assessment, which meant we did not visit the provider’s office. Northern Angels Care Ltd provides personal care to 2 people living in their own homes. We received telephone feedback from 1 person and 1 relative.
Staff told us they received good support working for the provider and had access to training relevant to their role. There were enough staff to provide people’s care in a timely way and new staff were recruited safely.
The provider had effective systems to help keep people safe and manage risks. Safeguarding concerns and incidents were reported and investigated. Lessons were learnt and used to improve the service.
The service worked jointly with other professionals and helped people achieve positive outcomes. Staff supported people to be as independent as possible. The service had an open and inclusive culture, where people and staff felt able to give feedback. People, relatives and staff gave positive feedback as part of recent consultation about their experience of the service. Governance systems and quality assurance processes were effective in identifying areas for improvement.
 

People's experience of this service

People and relatives gave positive feedback about the care Northern Angels Care Ltd provided. They said staff treated people with kindness, dignity and respect. A person said, “Honestly, they are a really good bunch. They are like family.” People confirmed they felt safe and were supported to be involved in their care. People and relatives felt able to raise concerns.
People received their care from consistent, responsive and reliable staff who understood their needs well. A person commented, “They are usually on time and they are really nice.” Staff respected people’s choices and promoted their independence. People said they received positive outcomes from the service including an improved quality of life. People and relatives said they had opportunities to give feedback and this was listened to.
