People's experience of the service

Updated 13 May 2026

Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We reviewed patient feedback we received, and feedback routinely obtained by the practice. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient feedback highlighted the practice's friendly, caring and professional staff, who consistently made patients feel comfortable, reassured and well informed about their treatment. Patients valued the staff’s clear communication, including email updates and detailed explanations of procedures, as well as the support provided to those with additional or nervous dental care needs.

Many patients praised the practice for delivering high-quality, personalised care, noting that staff took time with patients and never made them feel rushed. Long-term loyalty was evident, with several patients and their families attending the practice for many years and travelling specifically to remain a patient there. Patients also appreciated the practice's responsiveness and accessibility, including same-day appointments for urgent issues and the availability of NHS dental places.

Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness.

Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed.

Patients were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care.

Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given.

Patients were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources.

The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
