During a routine inspection

We spoke with five people who had used the service. People were positive in their views of the services they had received. Examples of comments included, "I can't fault my surgeon from start to finish," "it's been a really good experience" and "I'm very pleased with the outcome".

People told us they were involved in planning and making decisions about their procedures. People told us they had been provided with information to take home and read. People told us they were encouraged to look on the internet for information. They also said the surgeons explained procedures and risks in a way they understood.

People told us they felt the care and support they received both before and after their procedures, was thorough and supportive.

The procedures for prescribing medication was safe and robust. People were supported by the surgeons to receive medication, when required for their recovery from their surgical procedures.

The effectiveness of the surgery and service people received was checked and monitored to make sure it was safe and suitable.

During a routine inspection

People's privacy and dignity was respected, as people told us that they understood the treatment options available to them.

Care and treatment was planned in a way that ensured people's safety and welfare. One person said "The assessments were detailed and they looked after me really well."

All staff were trained appropriately and were able to answer all of my questions and provide re-assurance. One person said "They were all so polite friendly helpful and supportive."

We spoke to staff present that day in the clinic, staff and people who used the service on the telephone. Comments received were on the whole positive. One person said "Staff were genuinely cheerful and helpful and made me feel re-assured."

Staff spoke to were positive about the management and training received and they said that "We all support each other, and receive the appropriate training to help us in our job roles to deliver the best possible service."
