During a routine inspection

Kemp Dental Health provided general, cosmetic and preventative dentistry to adults and children. During our visit we spoke with two people who used the service both of whom were complimentary about the service and treatment they received. One person commented on the explanations they received about treatment, 'The dentist explains about treatments in a way that makes sense'. We saw that arrangements were in place to deal with foreseeable emergencies and that the practice followed robust infection control procedures.

Records demonstrated that appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work and that dental staff maintained their General Dental Council (GDC) registration. Patient satisfaction surveys were available for people to complete and completed forms were consistently positive about the service provided. Additional comments included, "Always available to answer queries or concerns'. We saw evidence that audits were regularly performed to assess and monitor service provision, these included infection control and x-ray equipment audits.
