During a routine inspection

We were not able to talk with people using the ambulance service as they did not visit the base, and the majority of the work this service did was either transporting people from hospital to their home or providing medical assistance at events. The service had obtained information about people's specific needs and staff completed records of the care provided to people. This demonstrated that staff used the information they received to provide the care that people needed.

People were protected against the risks associated with medicines because the provider had appropriate arrangements in place to manage medicines. Volunteer staff were thoroughly checked before they could provide care or support to people who used the service. Confidential records were kept securely and could be located promptly when needed.
