People's experience of the service

Updated 5 June 2025

People were positive about the quality of care. They told us they felt safe and involved in planning their care and how they spent their time. People told us that they were able to choose which staff member they wanted as their “key worker”. One person told us they felt, “Content and happy.” Several people told us that they didn’t always have enough to do but this had improved recently with further plans for more outings and activities in the home. People told us staff were kind and supported them to be independent where possible. One person told us, “They [staff] are extremely helpful. I choose to make my own bed, and I tidy,” which they still liked to do. People felt they could raise any concerns, and they would be listened to and acted upon. Some people could not directly tell us about their experience. We used a structured observation tool to assess whether they received good care. This approach showed people were included and listened to and staff interacted positively with them. People knew staff and leaders well. One person told us, “Within a week staff knew what my likes and dislikes were. They know what food I like and how I like my shower. The emphasis is on the personalisation here.”
