During a routine inspection

Patients we spoke with told us they were happy with the service they received from the practice. One patient told us 'I can't fault it at all. The reception staff are really friendly and helpful'. Another patient told us the practice had a 'Very friendly approach. They make you feel completely at ease and it is a pleasure to come to the dentist.' Another patient told us 'I can make an appointment fast; I have been seen in 24 hours'.

We saw that there was information available to patients around the costs of treatment on display, the names of the dentists and products for sale promoting oral health care. We saw that patients were involved in making decisions around their treatment.

Staff knew what action to take in response to potential child and adult protection matters and how to report concerns related to the practice.

We saw that there were systems in place to maintain the hygiene of the surgery and dental instruments used. However, we found patients were not always protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had not been followed in relation to sinks and maintaining the integrity of the covering to some of the dental chairs.

There were systems in place to monitor service delivery and the health and safety of the environment.
