During an inspection in response to concerns

People who used the service told us they were happy living at the home and they were well looked after. Relatives told us about the residents meetings that were held. They told us they were able to air their views.

People were very complimentary about the food and several people who used the service said they had more than enough to eat. They were able to make suggestions and requests for future meals. If they didn't like what was on the menu they were able to ask for something else to be prepared. People we spoke with confirmed that the meals were warm enough when they were served and there was always plenty of food. Three relative's we spoke with said they thought the food was very good and that there was plenty.

People we spoke with told us the home was always clean, tidy and they had no concerns with the hygiene.

People we spoke with said that the staff gave them their medication and that they received it on time and when they needed it.

People who use the service said they can generally make decisions and choices about their care. However some people who use the service were unable to tell us if they can make decisions about their care.

Some of the things people said: 'The food is nice'. 'There is enough staff around to help out and we've been treated well'. 'We used the buzzer by mistake and they came straight away.'

'There are staff at night. If you press the buzzer they do come, but sometimes they take a while.'

'It's very good here. I have settled. I didn't think I would, away from my bungalow, but I've been well looked after.'

'It's very clean.'
