During a routine inspection

The agency was providing care and support to five people in their own homes.

Care records contained enough information to show how people were to be supported and cared for. We spoke to one person using the service and to a relative of another person. They were very complimentary about the staff and the care and support provided. Comments made included; 'The staff have a lovely attitude and I feel very safe with them. They are always willing to help out and I certainly have no complaints about them'. 'I am the hardest person to please but I am 100% delighted with the service. I can't praise them enough'.

The system in place for managing medicines in people's homes was safe. This helps protect the health and welfare of people using the service.

Arrangements were in place to ensure that people using the service were cared for by staff that were safely recruited.

Regular monitoring of the service provided was in place to help protect people against the risks of inappropriate or unsafe care.

People using the service were protected against the risk of unsafe or inappropriate care and treatment because records contained enough information to protect their safety and wellbeing.

During a routine inspection

During our inspection we spoke with two people receiving care and support from the service, and the relative of one person. The people we spoke with said they always knew the care workers that came to their homes, and they felt they were able to approach them if they had any concerns. People told us that care workers always asked for permission before carrying out any aspect of their care.

We heard that people were involved in their care planning and were able to discuss any changes they felt necessary with the provider. When asked about the care provided by care workers people commented "They'll do anything for you. I can't praise them enough" and "I know every one of them. We have a laugh and some fun but they do anything you require of them".

The relative of one person said that the service helped her relative remain at home, and they liked the fact that there were very few staff changes.
