Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. One patient told us, “I am a very nervous and anxious patient and they made me feel at ease and they stopped whenever I held my hand up. They didn’t make me feel like a wimp and said I was really good and brave bless them.”

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Comments included, “I and my family have been patients at this dental practice for many years, and the care we receive just gets better and better. My dentist is truly outstanding with children, making each visit a positive experience. The entire team provides exceptional, personalized service, and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.”

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

We were provided with patient satisfaction surveys which the practice completed every year. These were all very positive.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.

A staff member told us, “The practice is well run and friendly, the team are my work family. We all support each other.”
