Delivering evidence-based care and treatment

The service planned and delivered people’s care and treatment with them, including what was important and mattered to them. They did this in line with legislation and current evidence-based good practice and standards.

The health care professionals and ambulance crews had access on their electronic devices to the Joint Royal Colleges Ambulance Liaison Committee (JRCALC) guidelines in assessing a patient’s clinical presentation. The JRCALC guidelines are a nationally recognised body which produces clinical guidelines for ambulance professionals.

Staff followed policies and procedures to plan and deliver high quality care according to best practice and national guidance.
