Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
Bramingham Dental Clinic is in Luton and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
Access to the practice was obtained using a flight of stairs with a stairlift available for patients who had mobility issues. Car parking spaces including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice. At the time of the inspection the practice was undergoing building works to extend the practice into the ground floor premises with additional treatment rooms and an accessible toilet.
The practice had 5 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 30 staff, of which there were 2 principal dentists, 6 associate dentists, a visiting oral surgeon, 9 dental nurses, 2 trainee dental nurses, 3 dental therapists, 1 dental hygienist, 3 receptionists, 1 administrator, a clinical manager and the practice manager. In addition, a sedationist also visited the practice when required.
