We observed that the reception area and waiting room was clean and bright and displayed posters promoting good oral hygiene and offering appropriate information. There was a variety of preventive advice and equipment offered.

We saw that policies and procedures were accessible to staff and emergency medical equipment was in place. De-contamination processes and hygiene procedures were seen to be followed by staff, to minimise the risk of cross infection.

We looked at a sample of records. Medical information, treatment plans and personal preferences were regularly reviewed and updated.

We spoke with four members of staff, who were suitably qualified and had undertaken relevant training during their employment. We observed staff members interacting politely respectfully with patients and noted that patients were given privacy and dignity.

We spoke with ten patients. One said they were 'unable to fault any treatment.' Another described the staff as 'very pleasant and professional.' A third said that staff were 'very caring.' All ten told us that they found the staff helpful, courteous and polite. None of the patients we spoke with had any complaints about the service they received.

We observed that complaints received were dealt with appropriately and that comments and complaints were used to inform changes and improvements to the service delivered.
