We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 30 April 2025.
We found the practice had met all regulations.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance and infection control procedures were in place.
The practice had systems to manage risks.
Governance arrangements were effective.
Maison Smile is in Edgware in the London Borough of Westminster and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the reception area of the practice only. This space was shared with another unrelated organisation. Access to other parts of the practice including the treatment rooms was via a staircase leading down. The practice is within easy access of public transport. Paid parking spaces were available near the practice.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms, both of which were functional; however, only one was operational at the time of our visit.
At the time of our inspection there was a total of 7 staff, which includes the principal dentist, 3 trainee dental nurses, 1 dental therapist, 1 receptionist and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including the principal dentist, 1 trainee dental nurse, the practice manager and a visiting practice manager who was employed at the provider’s other location.
