During a routine inspection
We saw that Lime Grove was a new purpose built home in a residential grove. We saw that the home was within short walking distance of local shops and amenities.
The design and layout of the building made it completely accessible to people with physical disability. We saw that there were six single bedrooms on the ground floor. Each had an ensuite shower and toilet and was fitted and decorated to a high standard. The home had its own front entrance. It was also accessible from an adjacent and separate care home by an internal walkway. We have asked the provider organisation to be clear about security arrangements for this point of access.
We saw that with the exception of the bedroom furniture all of fittings and facilities installed at the time of our visit to assess the registration application in March 2011 were still in place. Windows had curtains and blinds and floors had appropriate covering. There was a fire detection system and a call system installed. Bedroom furniture was in storage in one of the bedrooms.
Bedrooms were not set out for residential use and there were no beds on the premises.
The service has a written statement of purpose and has sent us a copy.
