Faith Home Care Limited is a domiciliary care agency service providing personal care to people in their own homes. At the time of assessment, they were providing personal care to 100 people with various health and support needs.

This was the first announced assessment of this domiciliary care service which carried out to review the quality of care and the service’s compliance with legal requirements.

People received care that was safe, effective and personalised to their assessed needs. There were enough staff to meet people’s needs, and people were supported by a consistent staff team. People were complimentary about staff, and confident in their abilities. Care plans were comprehensive, person-centred, and reviewed regularly to ensure people’s needs were constantly met.

The service was well led with a team who promoted a clear direction focused on person-centred care and fostered an open and transparent culture focusing on continuous learning and development. Governance systems were established and provided oversight of quality, risk and performance. Staff had been recruited safely with all pre-employment checks completed prior to starting work. Staff were well supported in their role, receiving regular support, supervision and training. Staff told us they felt they were valued and able to raise concerns with management.

People's experience of the service

People using Faith Homecare Limited and their relatives were positive about their experiences of care, confirming that people’s needs were met and staff had provided safe and compassionate support. One person told us; “I really enjoy their visits, with their support, I can remain at home”.

People said staff were reliable and they were confident in their abilities and felt safe. Staff ensured people were listened to and took time to get to know them, following their support preferences, encouraging independence and respecting choice.

People and relatives were comfortable with approaching office staff with any concerns they had and were confident they would be addressed by the team.

Overall, people had confidence in the service and felt that staff genuinely cared about their wellbeing. One person told us; “The staff are very well trained, and I am very happy with the care and support I receive”.
