During a routine inspection
People who use the service were given sufficient information and were involved in making decisions about their care. People who use the service reported Dr Barretto had understood their problem and that they understood their proposed treatment. People had described Dr Barretto as "reassuring". A medical history was taken for each person and there were procedures in place to deal with emergencies.
Whilst there were no safeguarding policies in place for protecting children or vulnerable adults, Dr Barretto was able to describe what action he would take. He was able to provide examples of action he had taken in the past. Staff received adequate training and supervision. There was evidence that Dr Barretto monitored the quality of his service by collecting feedback and responding to people's comments.
