During a routine inspection

People who used the service and their relatives were positive about the care received. In relation to their carer, one representative told us "they are a very private person and the staff maintain his privacy and dignity." Another person's relative said "they do a good job."

People told us that their wishes were respected. Care plans contained detailed information and were updated to reflect changes in people's needs. The service cooperated with other health and social care professionals. The service had systems in place to ensure people were referred to specialists as required. Staff were trained and supported to undertake their roles. The provider had systems in place to monitor the quality of the service.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with two people who use the service and their relatives. Most people we spoke with praised the service they received from carers. In relation to their carer, one person told us "Yeh, I am happy as they are nice." One person's relative told us "they do a good job."

People told us that their wishes were respected. Care plans contained detailed information and were updated to reflect changes in people's needs. Staff demonstrated the knowledge and skills needed to protect people from abuse. There were clear rotas in place and staff told us they had sufficient time to undertake care tasks. The provider had an effective system in place for handling concerns and complaints.

During a routine inspection

We spoke to people who use the service and a relative by telephone. They said the agency had given them a folder which contained information about the service. They indicated that they were satisfied with the care provided and they felt staff treated them with respect and dignity. Their views can be summarised by the following comments:

"They [care workers] treat me well".

"Staff are respectful".

People told us that staff provided the care and support they needed. They said they discussed their care plan with the manager. People said the manager reviewed their care plans so that their changing needs were met.

We asked people who use the service if staff treated them well. People who use the service informed us that staff treated them with respect and dignity. They told us they had no concerns. They said staff 'good manners'.

People using the service told us staff knew their job and they were satisfied with the care they provided.

People who use the service informed us that the manager asked them from time to time if they were satisfied with their care. They indicated that they were satisfied with the management of the agency. People told us they could talk to the manager.
