During an assessment under our new approach

Date of Assessment: 9 February 2026. This assessment was prompted by a review of the information we held about this service and when the service was last inspected.

Bluebird Care Clapham and Streatham provides care and support to people living in their own homes, including individuals living with dementia. At the time of our assessment, 25 people were

receiving support with personal care.

This service was re-registered with CQC on 25 October 2024 following a change in its registration. The rating inherited from the service’s previous assessment was Good.

This was a comprehensive assessment, and we reviewed all quality statements across the 5 key questions, identifying areas of good practice.

The service embraced learning and improvement, working in partnership and responding proactively to challenges. Leaders welcomed CQC feedback as a driver for quality and quickly addressed gaps in staffing processes, including DBS monitoring and staff development.

Effective systems were in place for reporting incidents, managing risks and safeguarding

people. These systems were supported by good infection control and safe medicines practices.

People’s needs were regularly assessed and reviewed, with care delivered in line with

legislation and evidence-based practice. Staff treated people with kindness, dignity and

compassion, tailoring support to individual preferences and protected characteristics. Care was

person-centred, responsive to change and supported by timely visits, accessible feedback

routes and well-managed complaints. The provider promoted inclusion and reduced isolation

through community engagement and creative initiatives. Leaders fostered an open, inclusive

culture with strong staff support and effective governance that ensured good oversight and

confident, well-guided staff.
