Our view of the service

Date of Inspection: 14 September to12 October 2026.

Blessings Care Limited runs a supported living service and provides the regulated activity of personal care and treatment of disease, disorder or injury. We only reviewed documentation relating to people in receipt of the regulated activity personal care. At the time of the inspection there were 2 people in receipt of regulated activity. Due to the complexity of people’s needs, we did not visit people in their home.

Overall, people experienced safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led care. Since the last inspection in November 2023, the provider had taken action to strengthen governance and quality assurance processes to improve oversight, promote learning and drive service improvements. Systems continued to be developed to assess, monitor and review care delivery, risks and service performance. The provider demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement and was responsive to feedback, incidents and complaints, and identified areas for development. Staff worked closely with people, relatives and external professionals to deliver personalised care and support that reflected people's preferences and responded to their changing needs.

People were regularly supported to access their local community. This included attending healthcare appointments, taking part in activities that reflected their interests and preferences and developing daily living skills to promote greater independence and healthier lifestyles. Support was tailored to individual needs and encouraged people to remain active, engaged and involved in their community.

People's experience of this service

People benefited from support provided by staff who knew them well and understood their individual needs, preferences and routines. This helped staff build positive and trusting relationships with people and deliver care in a way that reflected what was important to them.

Staff recognised changes in people's health and wellbeing and took appropriate action when concerns arose. Records and feedback demonstrated staff worked closely with district nurses, general practitioners and other professionals to ensure people received timely support and treatment when required.

Documentation we reviewed demonstrated people were supported to maintain choice and control over their daily lives. Support was centred around people's individual preferences. For example, when they wished to get up or go to bed, how they preferred personal care to be provided and the level of support they required. Staff adapted support to reflect people's wishes and encouraged people to remain involved in decisions about their care wherever possible. This helped to promote independence, dignity and person centred care.
