Our view of the service

We carried out this announced off-site inspection on 7 August 2026.

Where we carry out an offsite inspection, we undertake a detailed review of the practice risk assessments, audits, policies, staff records, photographs, and other relevant documents. We gather feedback from patients, staff and stakeholders (where relevant). We carry out a remote visual assessment of the premises and have discussions with staff.

We found the practice had met regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was an effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity.

Cambridge Court Dental Centre is part of Colosseum, a dental group provider. The practice is in the London Borough of Westminster and provides NHS and private dental care treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice via a portable ramp and car parking spaces were available near the practice.Due to the size and layout of the premises, the practice does not provide accessible toilet facilities.

The practice had 5 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 12 staff. We gathered feedback from and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 2 dentists, 1 dental nurse, and the practice manager. We also spoke with one of the organisation’s clinical quality managers.

Nine members of the staff team provided feedback, and this gave a positive view of the practice. Staff told us they felt valued and supported. They said the manager was approachable and staff felt comfortable to raise concerns and these would be acted on appropriately.

People's experience of this service

Prior to our inspection we asked the practice to encourage patients to complete feedback forms for us to review. We received feedback from 6 patients.

We reviewed patient feedback gathered by the practice and from online sources. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the dental team.

Patients commented they were very happy with the level of care and treatment they received. They said staff were kind and caring and took time to explain treatments. They said the dental team were professional and caring. Several patients commented that staff made them feel at ease during their visit to the practice.

Patient comments included ‘’I am very happy with everything at the practice, that is why I keep coming back.’’ ‘’I have seen multiple dentists here and they have all been amazing.’’

Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness and the premises.

Some patents said that the practice offered quick appointments. They said they did not feel rushed during treatments.

Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care.

Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given.

The practice displayed and shared patient feedback with patients and the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
