We undertook a follow-up on-site inspection on 23 June 2026 This was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to assess whether the practice was meeting legal requirements.
We had previously undertaken an announced on-site inspection of Hangleton Dental Practice on 23 July 2025. We had found the registered provider was not providing safe and well-led care and was in breach of regulation(s) 12, safe care and treatment, 17 good governance, 18 Staffing, 19 fit and proper persons employed of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
During our follow-up inspection, we found the practice had met regulations regulations.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
The practice had safeguarding processes and staff knew their responsibilities for safeguarding.
The practice had ensured and had a system to monitor staff training, all staff training was up to date.
The practice is in Hove and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available on the front driveway.
The practice had 4 treatment rooms.During the inspection we spoke with a dentist, 2 dental nurses, 1 trainee nurse, a dental therapist, and the practice manager.
