During a routine inspection

People using the service told us that they were satisfied with the treatment they had received and way it was provided. People said "I waited for sixty years to find a dentist that did not hurt me, having become convinced that painless dentistry was just a slogan". "My needs are always met and emergency and routine appointments are dealt with efficiently". The procedure for consultation and treatment was fully explained including the fees charged. People were also told about any risks that might arise from treatments chosen and were required to sign consent to treatment. One person using the service told us "The staff are very polite and friendly. They always make me feel welcome and at ease". They felt treated with dignity, respect and had received consultations and treatment in a way that maintained their privacy. Someone told us "The service is clean, professional and helpful".

They did not comment on the practice infection control systems. They did tell us they thought the practice was kept clean, tidy and felt safe using the service. They were also aware of the complaints procedure.

We saw during our visit that staff were very professional and knowledgable. The practice was clean and there were effective infection and cross contamination control systems in place. There was also a complaints procedure that was available to people using the service.
