During a routine inspection
People told us that they were supported to be involved in all aspects of their treatment. Everyone told us that they would recommend the practice to other people. One person told us, “The staff are great, they chat to you to take your mind off your treatment.”
During our inspection visit we spoke with the principal dentist and two dental nurses.
People received care and treatment that was planned to meet their needs. Any change in people’s medical and dental health needs was taken into account when planning any treatment. We saw that people’s dental records provided a clear record of treatment provided.
The practice had procedures in place to provide a clean environment for people’s dental care and treatment. There were clear procedures to ensure that all dental instruments used were thoroughly cleaned and sterilised between each use.
People we spoke with said the practice was clean and hygienic and they were satisfied with the standards of cleanliness. One person commented, "It’s always immaculate. I’m very fussy; I would go elsewhere if it wasn’t clean."
