During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people who were waiting for their appointment with their dentist. People told us they were very satisfied with the care and treatment given to them. They reported that they felt involved and respected by the service and were involved in the decisions about their dental treatment and care. One person allowed us to observe their care and treatment in the surgery. They told us that they were very satisfied with the service. They told us, 'I'm always seen within a few minutes of the appointment time.' Another person told us, 'The staff are very good at explaining things.' One person told us, 'I tried another practice but I wouldn't go anywhere else now.' One person said, 'The staff are so friendly and polite.'

We found that records contained all the information needed to ensure the person received the appropriate treatment.

We found that staff were safely recruited, and trained to assess and treat people. Consent was always obtained. Complaints were rare, but were investigated fully and replies sent out within the practice policy timescales.
