During a routine inspection

We spoke with five four people who were waiting for their appointment with their dentist. People told us they were very satisfied with the care and treatment given to them. They reported that they felt involved and respected by the service and were involved in the decisions about their dental treatment and care. One person allowed us to observe their care and treatment in the surgery. They told us that they were very satisfied with the service. One person said, 'The dentist is just like an old friend as I have been coming here so long.' One person told us, 'I've been coming here since I was a youngster. They are really good to me. All the family come here.' One person said, 'The staff are so friendly and polite.' They all told us that they were always seen on time and they were always given enough time in the surgery.

The service was compliant with all national guidance on the prevention of infection. Staff were well trained and the provider ran their own dental nurse training school and participated in the post-graduate training of dentists.

The service undertook a number of clinical, administrative and environmental audits to ensure that high standards were maintained.
