During an inspection looking at part of the service

We did not speak with people using the service as part of this inspection because we were following up from a previous inspection regarding staff training and written documents held by the service. People we spoke with at the previous inspection had no concerns in relation to this standard.

During a routine inspection

We received positive comments from people who were using the service about how they had been consulted and the information they had been given and the choices of treatments they could make. They told us that they had been treated with respect whenever they visited the surgery and had been made welcome and that staff were always polite to them. One person said, "The dentist tells me a lot of information about my teeth and the options I can make". Another person said," I am always included and feel that I am making choices about my care".

Several of the people we spoke with told us they had been attending the surgery for many years and that they had every confidence in the dentist.
