Our view of the service
We undertook a follow-up on-site inspection on 4 June 2025. This was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to assess whether the practice was meeting legal requirements.
We had previously undertaken an announced on-site inspection of Ilkley Dental Care Limited on 5 February 2025. We had found the registered provider was not providing well-led care and was in breach of Regulation 17 Good Governance of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
During our follow-up inspection, we found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had systems to manage risks. Medical emergency and radiation protection arrangements were in line with guidance.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and were followed.
There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Medicines and prescriptions were managed in line with current guidance.
The practice is in Ilkley and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children, and NHS dental care and treatment for children.
There are steps to the front and rear of the premises and is not accessible to wheelchair users. The patient toilet was on the first floor and patients may struggle to access this. A pay and display car park was available near the practice.
During the assessment we spoke with the patient care manager, 1 dental nurse and the practice manager.
