All Inspections

During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 11 June 2025.

We found the practice had met regulations.

Infection control procedures in place were effective.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.

Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.

The practice had systems to identify and manage risks which required some improvements.

The practice is in Horton Heath, Hampshire and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces were available at the practice.

The practice had 4 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 11 staff, of which there were 2 dentists, 4 dental nurses, 1 dental hygienist, 3 receptionists and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including the 2 principal dentists, 2 dental nurses, and the practice manager.

The service provides cosmetic treatments, which are not in scope of CQC regulation and are not covered in our inspection.

13 August 2013

During a routine inspection

During our visit we spoke with four patients about their care and treatment. Everybody told us that the dentist spent time discussing their treatment plan. One patient said:"a very good service, always clean" and "the equipment is modern and looks new". Everybody we spoke with was very complimentary about the care they received. One person commented in a recent survey:'Whole team are very professional'.

We also looked at patient records which enabled us to see the information recorded for each person's visit. The dentist had recorded their examination of soft tissues, teeth and other relevant observations.

We saw that the design, layout and security of the premises was fit for purpose and met the needs of everyone receiving care and treatment including those patients with disabilities.

We saw that there were systems in place at this practice to reduce the risk and spread of infection. During our visit we spoke to clinical staff at the practice. They were aware of the safe practices required to meet the essential standards of Department of Health guidance.
