During an assessment under our new approach
1 Homecare Bradford is a domiciliary care service for older people and adults with disabilities. It does not deliver services to people with a learning disability or autism.
This was the first assessment of 1 Homecare Bradford since it was registered with CQC in October 2024. The assessment was a comprehensive one looking at all quality statements. The assessment was conducted remotely from 5 March to 14 April 2026.
The provider demonstrated a positive and supportive approach to the delivery of care with evidence of responsive and effective management oversight in many areas. Relatives consistently reported being kept informed about their loved ones’ wellbeing, with regular updates and good communication from staff and management. This helped to provide reassurance, particularly where people’s needs were changing, and showed the service maintained appropriate involvement with families and representatives.
Care was responsive to individual needs, with care plans and support adjusted where required. People’s independence was promoted, and staff encouraged engagement in daily living and activities, helping to maintain wellbeing and quality of life.
Management and office staff were described as available and approachable, with staff, relatives and people feeling able to raise concerns and receive timely responses. Issues raised were addressed appropriately, and there were examples of concerns being resolved following feedback. This indicated a willingness within the service to listen and act on concerns when they arose
