During an assessment under our new approach
Fresh Tree Care Services – Surrey Branch is a domiciliary care service providing a regulated activity of personal care. The service was providing care and support to people in their own homes. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of this inspection, there were 4 people using the service. This was a planned inspection of all quality statements under the 5 key questions of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led. The inspection took place between the 1 May and 5 May 2026.
Effective systems and processes meant people were protected from avoidable harm. There were enough staff, who had the necessary skills and training to provide people with safe care, this included checks to ensure competence. People received their medicines as prescribed and risks to their health and wellbeing had been assessed. Safeguarding procedures were in place, and staff knew how to keep people safe. The service learned from accidents, incidents and events. People had access to health and social care professionals to ensure healthcare needs were met. People were involved in their care and records were person-centred. People’s rights were fully respected, and staff sought consent prior to delivering support. Governance systems were in place to ensure oversight. Staff had confidence in the registered manager and deputy manager of the service.
At the time of this inspection, Fresh Tree Care Services – Surrey Branch did not care or provide support for anyone with a learning disability or an autistic person. However, we assessed the care provision under Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture, as it is registered as a specialist service for this population group.
