Date of Assessment: 20 February 2026 to 24 February 2026.This is the first assessment for this newly registered service. The service is a residential home providing support to adults with a learning disability, autistic people and people with mental health needs. The service is registered to support 1 person.
We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’. This guidance supported judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choice, independence and access to local communities that most people take for granted.
We found the person received exceptional care that was individual and specific to their needs. Care was delivered in a bespoke environment that had specifically been adapted to meet the person’s individual needs. The person was supported by safely recruited staff who had been specifically recruited to ensure they had the skills and knowledge to meet the person’s needs.
The person had individualised support to maintain their health and wellbeing and well-coordinated support that met their individual needs and preferences.
The vision, values and culture of the organisation was embraced by everyone who worked there. There were systems in place to monitor the quality of the service, ensuring the service progressed, that lessons were learnt and that a positive culture was adopted.
The person was at the centre of their care, and this had been developed alongside them with input from relatives and professionals. The person was safeguarded from potential abuse as procedures were in place and followed. Infection control was considered and medicines were managed safely. The principles of the Mental Capacity Act were understood.
Staff felt listened to and involved and spoke positively about the support they received from the provider and the leadership team.
