We carried out this inspection to check on the care and welfare of people who used this service. We arranged the visit in advance to ensure that we had time to see and speak to staff working at the practice, as well as people visiting the service. The practice had a contract with the NHS to provide NHS dental care to people. People could also choose to pay for private treatment which was outside the agreed treatments of the NHS.
On the day of the inspection we spoke with the provider, four staff members and six people who used the service. We received positive feedback from the patients we spoke with. They told us the dental and reception staff were pleasant and friendly. All of the patients we spoke with had not experienced any difficulty in arranging appointments at a convenient time to them.
There was an infection control lead at the practice. The patients we spoke with told us the practice was always clean and tidy. They also told us treatment options had been discussed with them and where appropriate, treatment cost had been explained.
Everyone we spoke with told us they were happy with the service. Most had already recommended the practice to family and friends.
