During a routine inspection

We were unable to speak to patients during our visit to the dental practice because appointment times varied in length due to the time the treatment took. We spoke with the manager, two dental nursing staff and the dentist, looked at patient records and saw policies and procedures during our visit to the practice. We did obtain feedback from the patient satisfaction survey carried out during 2012 with comments such as "I would like a drinks machine in the waiting room." "I receive excellent care here." The dentist and nurses are very professional." "The dentist explains everything and lets me decide the best course of treatment."

We toured the practice and saw that the surgery was situated on the first floor. The main surgery was divided into two treatment rooms which were used alternatively. The practice employed a dental therapist for two days a week. All areas of the practice was clean.
