During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 8 October 2025.

We found the practice had met regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support and treatment when required.

The practice is in Bridgnorth, Shropshire and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice via a portable ramp and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.

The practice had 3 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 14 staff, of which there were 4 dentists, 5 dental nurses, 1 dental therapist, 2 dental hygienists, 1 receptionist and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection.

During a routine inspection

People who used the service told us they were pleased with the way the practice was run and the services provided. People's treatment was planned and discussed with them and based on their assessed needs. People told us they were given clear information that enabled them to make informed choices. People said they were made aware of the costs for treatment and given the appropriate after care advice. People's comments included, "I have been coming here for a number of years and everything about this dentist is excellent' and, "I have nothing but good things to say. It is clean and tidy and they put you at your ease'.

People received their treatment in a clean, hygienic environment. The dental practice had arrangements in place for the management of infection control.

People received treatment from an established team of professionals. One person said, "The staff give an air of confidence and reassurance". Staff confirmed they had attended training courses appropriate to their work and to meet the requirement of their professional registration. Dental nurses told us they were well supported in their work and the team functioned well. We saw how the staff spoke with people in a friendly and helpful way.
