Montague Medical Practice is a GP practice located in Goole, East Yorkshire. The practice is run by SSP Health GPMS Ltd, who are responsible for a number of GP practices across the country. Montague Medical Practice delivers services to around 8,500 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The provider is registered with CQC to deliver the Regulated Activities; diagnostic and screening procedures, maternity and midwifery services; treatment of disease, disorder or injury and surgical procedures. We inspected and rated this service under our previous methodology in June 2018. The practice was rated Good overall and in all key questions. This assessment was carried out to assess the quality of services being delivered following a new registration. The Practice has been rated Good overall and for all key questions.

People's experience of the service

People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Feedback we received was positive about the appointment system and the majority of patients told us they were able to access appointments when they needed to. They said things such as “every nurse and GP I have seen has been excellent at listening to me or my family” and “reception staff are always polite and helpful”. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services. In the majority of cases, results from the National GP Patient Survey were either in line or above local and national averages. Following results of the National GP Patient Survey, the practice had recently upgraded and adapted their website to make it more accessible to patients. There was a virtual patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service.
