During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people who used the service. They told us they were given detailed information that was clearly explained to them and that they gave their consent before any treatment began.

We found that people's treatment was planned in a way that was intended to ensure their safety and welfare. People told us they were satisfied with the treatment they received at the service.

One person who told us they chose to travel a long distance to use this service said of their treatment, 'They are very efficient. I am satisfied so far, it is excellent. The staff are brilliant, very polite and very knowledgeable. We still keep coming here because of the excellent qualities. [The service] is very well run.'

People were treated in an environment that was spacious, well maintained and fit for purpose.

There were recruitment and selection procedures in place.

A complaints system was available.

During a routine inspection

People we spoke with told us that they were always involved in making decisions about their treatments and that all of the available options were explained to them in a way that they understood. One person told us 'I always have the opportunity to ask questions and this is very important to me.'

People told us that they were very satisfied with the care and treatment they received at the practice. One person told us 'The whole service from start to finish has been excellent. I would highly recommend this dentist.'

People we spoke with told us that they felt safe when attending the practice for treatment. One person told us 'I have every confidence in all the staff here. I am always treated well and I have never had any concerns or complaints about the practice.'

People told us that the dental practice was always clean. One person told us 'The practice is bright and clean. Staff always wear gloves and everything is sterile.'

People we spoke with told us that staff were welcoming and friendly. One person told us 'Staff always have time to listen if I have any questions and spend time explaining everything about the treatment I am having.'
