During a routine inspection

We visited the service on 1 March 2012. We talked to the provider, Mr Aggarwal, three people who used the service, the receptionist, the trainee dental nurse and the dental therapist.

People said they were treated with respect and given all the information they needed to make choices and give their consent to treatment.

People said they trusted the practice and were happy with the care and treatment they received.

The dentist explained how people were protected from harm and how the staff team followed local and national guidelines to safeguard people from abuse.

The process for preventing and controlling infections was explained and demonstrated to us.

People told us that they had confidence in the staff's skills and knowledge. Mr Aggarwal explained how staff received the training and support they needed to do their jobs well.

Mr Aggarwal explained how he listened to people's views and ensured that people received a consistently, well managed service.
