During an inspection looking at part of the service

This was a follow-up inspection to the inspection we completed in October 2012, in which we identified concerns in relation to the pre-employment checks conducted on staff at the practice. As a result we did not need to speak to people who used the service during the inspection.

Following our earlier inspection the provider sent us an Action Plan that identified action they would take to address the concerns.

When we visited the practice again we found that the provider had made changes to the recruitment process and policies.

During a routine inspection

People told us that this was a very good practice, they told us that all the staff were friendly and helpful and that they were always given time to consider the treatment options available to them. One person told us that staff at the practice were always very calm and this helped them to relax. Another person had recently joined the practice as they had heard that it had a good reputation.

We observed that although the practice was very busy, all the staff were professional, friendly and people were not rushed.
