During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 18 June 2025.

We found the practice had met regulations.

Infection control procedures in place were effective.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.

Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.

Gohil’s Dental Practice is in Leicester and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.

The practice had 3 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 6 staff, of which there were 2 dentists, 3 dental nurses and 1 trainee dental nurse. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, 2 dental nurses and the practice owner.

During a routine inspection

When we visited the offices of the dental practice we spoke with people using the service. The three people we spoke with told us they thought this practice offered a good service. One person said 'At one stage I left this practice for another closer to my home. I soon saw that this was a better practice, I applied to return and will not consider going anywhere else again, that's how happy I am.' Another said 'They have recently decorated this area and made it much bigger now, the staff are all lovely and helpful.'

We saw that staff were polite and welcoming to people entering the premises. We spoke to a number of people who use the practice and they indicated they were very pleased with the service they received. They felt their privacy, dignity and independence were respected. They also felt they were consulted and involved in their treatment and felt safe as they were seen in premises that maintained a good level of cleanliness.

People also felt that they were consulted about their treatment, offered options and asked about the quality of service provided and how this could be improved.
