We carried out our assessment of this service between 14 July 2026 to 17 July 2026. United Hands Care Ltd provides care to people living in their own home. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is to help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social provided. At the time of the assessment 9 people were receiving personal care.
This was a planned assessment of all quality statements under the key questions of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.This service registered with us on 28 June 2024, and this was their first assessment. The service has been rated good following this assessment.
There were systems in place to safeguard people from abuse. Risks to people were assessed and monitored. Recruitment processes were robust and there were enough staff working at the service to support people safely. Staff were provided with personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect people from the risk of cross infection.
People were supported by staff who had received the appropriate recruitment checks, training, and support to carry out their roles effectively. Staff treated people with dignity and respect and encouraged them to maintain their independence wherever possible.
People's needs were assessed before they began using the service so the provider knew they could meet their needs. Staff received inductions before starting work, so they knew what to do when they started working with people.
Systems and processes were established to monitor the quality and safety of the service. Staff reported positive working relationships with the provider and felt communication within the service was effective. Quality assurance systems enabled the provider to effectively oversee and continuously monitor the service.
