During an assessment under our new approach
We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 22 December 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
The practice mostly had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control. We identified minor shortfalls such as no evidence of routine quality assurance checks on the cone-beam computed tomography machine or an electrical installation report which the provider addressed.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
The practice is in Bewdley and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
The practice was located on the first floor of a grade 2 listed building with building restrictions; therefore, the provider was unable to offer step-free access to the practice.
The practice had 8 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 36 staff, of which there were 12 dentists, 11 dental nurses, 3 trainee dental nurses, 3 dental hygienists, 4 receptionists, 3 practice managers and a visiting dental technician. We gathered feedback from and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection.
