During a check to make sure that the improvements required had been made

The purpose of this review was to review the improvements made following our last inspection of the service in September 2012.

At our last visit we looked at this outcome. During that visit we had some concerns that the fire risk assessment had not been updated since 2010. We haven't spoken with people using the service during this review because it was a desk top assessment and we were reviewing the information we have about this provider.

We have received information from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service that following a further fire safety audit of the provider's premises on the 24 January 2013, that the premises demonstrate suitable and sufficient measures to satisfy their legal requirements.

During a routine inspection

At the time we visited Boothstown Dental Practice we spoke with four people who used the service to gain their direct views about the service. In addition we had five completed questionnaires we had asked people waiting for their treatment to complete. All responses were extremely complimentary about the service. One person told us: "I am very happy with the service provided. The staff and the service I receive here is excellent. I am always made to feel safe and comfortable with the staff. They are professional in what they do.'

We found the premises to be clean and hygienic with systems in place to monitor the standards of infection control and general service delivery.

We had serious concerns in relation to fire safety and we subsequently reported our concerns to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
