Updated 11 April 2025
Date of assessment: 15 April to 7 May 2025. Rose Water Place is a newly registered care home providing accommodation for people who require personal care. We completed this inspection due to concerns being raised about the standard of care provided.
Potential risks to people’s health and welfare had been assessed, however, there was not always specific person centred guidance for staff. Medicine records were not always accurate. When people did not have capacity to make decisions, these had been made in the person’s best interest. However, records of these decisions had not always been accurate. Staff had not always received training in how to support people with specific health conditions. There was a system to check the quality of the service, but this had not always been effective in identifying the shortfalls found.
Though we identified some minor shortfalls, there was no impact on people, as staff knew people well. Staff told us they felt supported and were encouraged to further their careers. The provider supported workforce equality and diversity, staff felt confident to speak up about any concerns they may have.
