During a routine inspection

We spoke to people who had used Ilford Dental Services for several years. One said "the dentist is very good - that's why I keep coming here." We saw records that confirmed the service always ensured people gave their informed consent to any treatment. We observed that the service had good systems to assess and record dental health and individual health needs and develop effective treatment plans. People were given advice on mouth care and supported to have regular check-ups. Another person said "It's always clean whenever I come here." Staff in the service ensured that procedures to control infection were always followed. The service had followed a Complaints Handling Policy and had responded in detail to a complaint.
