During a routine inspection
The records showed us consent was sought from people appropriately before any treatment began. People said the dentist always explained the risk and benefits of specific treatments and provided details of the expected outcome. We saw that medical and dental information was accurately documented in the records.
We found the premises were clean and well maintained. Staff routinely followed infection control procedures when carrying out treatments.
Staff received appropriate training to enhance their knowledge and skills and to keep them up-to-date with clinical practice. They were appraised annually and attended regular meetings with their colleagues. Staff told us they were happy in their work.
People told us they felt their opinions mattered to the practice. They were regularly asked for their views about the quality of services.
