During a routine inspection

We spoke with two dentists, three dental nurses and the practice manager during the inspection.We also spoke with four people who use the service. They told us they were happy with the service. One person said "They are all lovely here". Another person, who had been coming to the service for many years, had recommended it to other people. People told us that the dentist explained their care and treatment to them in a way they could understand. We saw that information was available for people in languages other than English.

We found that staff were supported, trained and experienced in their roles and were encouraged to develop their skills further. We saw that equipment, including infection control equipment, was properly maintained and serviced. We looked at records of infection control procedures and found them to be effective.

We found that the service had an effective complaints procedure in place and a comprehensive auditing procedure to monitor its quality. We saw that people who use the service were asked for their views on it and that these were acted on.
