All Inspections

During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 23 July 2025.

We found the practice had met regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

The practice is in the City of Salford and provides NHS dental care and treatment for adults and children.

Due to the nature of the building, there was no step-free access to the practice. However, car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were near the practice.

The practice had 2 treatment rooms. The total number of staff was 5. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 3 dentists and 2 dental nurses, 1 of which was the practice manager.

20 March 2013

During a routine inspection

We visited Langworthy Dental Practice on 20 March 2013 and we observed that all areas were clean and tidy. There were posters promoting oral hygiene and offering information about the practice displayed within the reception area and there was a variety of preventive advice and equipment offered. We observed staff treating patients with respect and courtesy.

We saw that policies and procedures were accessible to staff and emergency medical equipment was in place. Decontamination processes were seen to be followed and hygiene procedures were adhered to by staff, to minimise the risk of cross infection.

We looked at records, which were factual, up to date and relevant. Patients' medical information, treatment plans and personal preferences were regularly reviewed and updated.

We spoke with two members of staff who were suitably qualified for their roles and demonstrated an understanding of safeguarding and mental capacity issues.

We spoke with seven patients, all of whom were very positive about the service. One patient described the staff as "Very supportive and attend to all your needs." Another patient told us "The service is very good and the care is brilliant."

We observed that comments and feedback were sought by the practice and were used to inform changes and improvements to the service delivered.
