During a routine inspection
Each new patient's medical history was checked prior to treatment. Before dental treatment, the dentist explained the different options, the risks and the benefits and the likely costs.
The dental nurse and dentist had attended relevant training to support their professional development.
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. Staff had undertaken training in infection control. Decontamination of instruments was undertaken safely by the dental nurse. On the day of inspection the practice was clean and well maintained.
The practice had systems to review and monitor the quality and safety of the service provided which included seeking feedback from people and auditing practice.
