At the inspection on 16 December 2025, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulation:

Emergency equipment and medicines were checked in line with national guidance.

Staff knew how to respond to a medical emergency and had completed training in emergency resuscitation and basic life support.

The provider had assessed the risks to service users associated with radiation and were mitigating associated risks. They had registered with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), appointed a Radiation Protection Advisor and a Radiation Protection Supervisor, local rules outlining key working instructions to help minimise the risks associated with the use of X-ray radiation during dental radiography were in place and appropriate signage was placed on doors where X-ray machines were located.

We found that the systems were in place to ensure staff received the appropriate immunisation, including vaccination to protect them from Hepatitis B.

We reviewed infection prevention and control measures at the practice. The practice had infection control procedures that reflected published guidance and staff used personal protective equipment and decontaminated dental instruments after use, in line with national guidance.

The practice had protocols to ensure effective cleaning and safe segregation and disposal of hazardous waste.
